When Opium was established in the spring of 2006 I wanted to introduce a beautifully feminine collection of clothing and gifts to Cornwall, the likes of which couldn’t be found anywhere on the high street and with a focus on quality and style.
Buying trips to Paris and London with my Mum, Bridget, mean we are able to source an entirely exclusive collection of clothing to Cornwall and with the two generations buying together, the range has an appeal to all ages and the styles are the type that won’t go out of fashion at the end of the season.

Our insistence on only buying one of each size per style ensures there is little chance of bumping into someone wearing the same outfit- which our customers love!
All this has earned Opium a real following with customers coming far and wide to visit us looking for something a little different.
